Privacy policy
How Event uses information when you plan an event, join a team or check in guests.
Updated October 20, 2026
Who this notice covers
This notice covers Event accounts, the Event app and website. Event organizers decide which guest information to add and who may access their event. For questions about a particular guest list or invitation, contact the organizer. For your Event account, use the account controls and support options linked below.
Information used by Event
Account information includes your name, email, optional phone number and profile photo, language, password hash, event roles and session identifiers. Event records can include venue and date, guest names, contact details, party size, notes, seating, invitation documents and check-in status. Payment records include plan, amount, status and payment-provider references. Technical records may include IP addresses, request times and errors.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and event-management features, send activation and password-reset messages, process subscriptions, answer support requests and protect access. Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing is necessary to provide the requested service, meet legal obligations, protect legitimate security interests or act on your consent. Optional photos can be removed from your profile. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information about guests.
Access and service providers
Authorized event team members can access guest information according to their role. Hosting, email delivery and payment providers process information needed for their services. Stripe processes checkout payments; Event does not collect your full card number in its own payment form. Invitations, exports and links you share can be accessed by their recipients. Treat invitation QR codes and activation links as private.
Camera, photos and local storage
Camera access is used to scan QR codes. A photo you choose for your profile is uploaded and stored with your account. The app stores authentication information and preferences on your device; native access tokens use secure storage. The website remembers the selected language in browser storage. Clearing browser storage removes that preference. External checkout and linked websites have their own storage and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Account and event information remains available while needed for the service until it is deleted through the relevant controls. Personal account deletion removes your profile and event access; shared event records remain with the workspace. Confirmed closure by the last active tenant administrator also removes workspace content and team accounts. Financial records may remain where needed for accounting, legal obligations or disputes. Backups and operational logs are separate from the live account and may remain after deletion. Exported or shared copies cannot be recalled from recipients.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, remove your photo and initiate account deletion in Settings. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent for processing based on consent. Identity verification may be necessary. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. For guest data, contact the event organizer responsible for that event.
